Yesterday I received exciting news from My Publicist (okay, so she's the publicist for the entire Sourcebooks Casablanca line, but she's also MINE)! She is ready to mail out ARCs of The Wild Sight.
In case you aren't familiar with that acronym, an ARC is an Advanced Reading Copy, or in this case an Advanced Review Copy. These are copies of the book before it is finalized. They are sent to reviewers like Publishers Weekly and Library Journal, and even online reviewers like All About Romance and Romance B(u)y the Book.
Yes, I'm a nervous wreck worrying about whether or not I'll get "good" reviews. I know not everyone has the same taste and not everyone will like it, but worrying about things over which I have NO CONTROL is a specialty of mine! Plus, I'll have a great excuse to over-indulge in chocolate or fruity alcoholic drinks no matter what the reviews are like.
Mostly, I'm excited that I've made one more step down that road to publication!
P.S. If you are a reviewer and would like to receive an ARC of The Wild Sight, please email me via my website (link is on the sidebar) and I'll pass along your request to my publicist.

Woohoo, the ARCs are here, congrats. I love fruity drinks, too, but don't overdo it. The good reviews will be coming in shortly.
Jane,
From you lips to reviewers ears... um, eyes? uh, fingers??
No, I haven't hit the fruity drinks yet, and yes, I know my limit which is exactly two. :-P I'm such a light-weight when it comes to alcohol. They currently have this strawberry-raspberry margarita at Chevy's that's the YUMMIEST! When I get my first "good" review, I'm having one.

Look at you! ARCs of your very own. Oh, that is so cool. And those fabulous reviews and stars will be showing up all over. Are you getting one? (And no, I'm not trying to get one but wonder if this will be the first time to actually hold your book in your hand.) *g*
Terrio,
Hope those reviewers are tuned in to YOU, too!
Do I get one? So far the answer is a big fat MAYBE. I've been begging and groveling to my publicist to send me JUST ONE?!?!?! I'm old and decrepit and might not make it til Oct. 1st! So far, this tactic has not worked. I'm now contemplating bribery...
Do they have See's candy in Chicago?
Trust me, if I do get one, I'll sleep with it under my pillow every night!

How exciting Aunty Cindy each day brings us closer to reading this book. Enjoy all the happenings I am sure all the reviews will be fantastic.
Enjoy the drinks and of course the chocolate
Have Fun
