Fearless?!?

I haven't done a Meme in awhile, so I took this little quiz (click on the title of this blog post if you want to take it too) to find "My Word" and share the results. Be prepared to laugh, coz here it is...
You see life as your one chance to experience everything, and you just go for it! You believe the biggest risk is being afraid and missing out on something amazing.

Sometimes your fearlessness means you're daring. You en
joy risky activities. And sometimes your fearlessness means you're courageous. You're brave enough to do the right thing, even when it's scary.

Please forgive my uncontrolled outburst of hilarity. I happen to know that I am one HUGE 'Fraidy Cat! Truly about the farthest from fearless I can imagine.

Daring?
Moi? HARDLY!

Enjoy risky ativities? Not in this lifetime! Unless, of course, risky activities include eating chocolate and writing about hunky heroes...

Oh, and travel, but honestly, I don't consider the places I go to be risky. If I did, I wouldn't go!

But back to writing about those hunky heroes, and spunky heroines... I'm currently revising my next release, and the heroine has just risked her life to save the hero. This is what I love about reading and writing romantic suspense. The characters ARE fearless!

That doesn't mean they aren't afraid. My heroine Samantha was plenty scared -- the wet palms, pumping heart, almost can't breathe variety. But as that last sentence under Fearless says, she was "brave enough to do the right thing, even when it's scary."

I always admire that, at least in fiction, and I'd like to think I could do it too. If I had to be, I would be fear...
Sorry, I can't even imagine that with a straight face!

Your Word is "Love"

You see life as possibility to form deep connections with a few people.
Relationships are the center of your world, and you always take time to bond with those you love.

You are caring and giving. You enjoy helping those you love.
And when it comes to romantic love, you feel passionately ... even in a very long term relationship

I did it Aunty Cindy and LOVE is my word that was fun good on you being Fearless I am glad you are because you never gave up writing and we are going to have some great stories to read in the future.

Have Fun
Helen

My word is "Fearless." I don't think this is a great description of me. I wish I was more fearless, but I'm really a worry wart.

Helen,
"Love" seems like a very appropriate word for you, both in your family life and your reading habits. ;-)

I'm not so sure if me never giving up writing was "Fearless" or "Crazy!" Isn't one definition of stupid 'doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result'?

That's pretty much the way it is with getting published, you submit the same stories over and over again, HOPING for a different result. In my case, it took a little over 3 years and I lost count of how many rejections.

Jan,
You're "Fearless" too?!?! Maybe that just refers to our imaginations. ;-) It's nice and safe to be "Fearless" in our minds.

Your word is "Think"

You see life as an amazing mix of possibilities, ideas, and fascinations.
And sometimes you feel like you don't have enough time to take it all in.

You love learning. Whether you're in school or not, you're probably immersed in several subjects right now.
When you're not learning, you're busy reflecting. You think a lot about the people you know and the things you've experienced.

I'm not sure this is me. There isn't an academic bone in my body. LOL!

I have been remiss in getting over here. But I love this blog. You are fearless. You walked away from work to write and then you stepped out there and jumped into the jungle/mine field that is querying and contests. That takes serious courage!

Hey Terrio,
So good to see you! And I know how busy you've been with moving, work, and school.

There may not be an academic bone in your body, but you know the value of education or else you wouldn't be working so hard right now to get your degree. Your word seems pretty appropriate to me!

Don't be giving me too much credit. I had grown to truly HATE my day job and it was literally and figurative killing me when I walked away. I'd have been even more crazy to stay! LOL!

Ironic that I just finished my homework for the week. Whoot! Seriously, I can't wait until June when I finish this degree. It's really about needing that piece of paper and not about enjoying academia for me. I'm glad I made the decision back in '05 to do it, but I'll be ECSTATIC in June when it's over! LOL!

Good point about the day job doing more harm than good. But many people would have stayed and let it kill them. Good for you to make that (scary) change.

Note: my veriword is toriifyin which sounds to me like the way the cowardly lion would say terrifying. LOL!

Dear Aunty Cindy,
Your Word is "Hope"

You see life as an opportunity for learning, growth, and bringing out the best in others.
No matter how bad things get, you always have at least a glimmer of optimism.

You are accepting and forgiving. You encourage those who have wronged you to turn over a new leaf.
And while there is a lot of ugliness in the world, you believe that almost no one is beyond redemption.

This is a true description of me. I am always Hopeful and a little Pollyanna-ish.

You Cindy are Fearless. I am so proud to know you and I value our friendship. Keep on writing!
